Most people who have posted on this thread seem to claim that all outsourced projects end in disasters.
I imagine the companies that outsource projects are crazy, and that their fav' pastime is to squander money.
Oh! And it also doesn't seem to matter that most "Inhouse" projects are also failures.
When an all american team f-ucks up an all american project on american soil, and in the process ends up wasting a million dollars, that cool....but if an Indian or Chinese vendor f-ucks up the same project, but for a quarter of a million dollars, that is a MAJOR DISASTER.
He he...funny! Butters from South Park TV show.

I am sure there are plenty of competent Chinese and Indian programmers and they are just as entitled to their slice of the global economy as the average western white male programmer. The failures of outsourcing seem to be due to poor management and short-sightedness of the companies doing the outsourcing. Done intelligently outsourcing should be a win-win for all concerned. Just transferring all your software development offshore overnight because it fashionable and the CEO wants an even more obscene bonus is a disaster waiting to happen.
