安装Microsoft visual C++ 6.0时提示必须先运行installation wizard，而我在安装文件夹里没有找到这个程序，installation wizard到底是什么程序，在哪能找？谢谢

先点setup.exe,然后在弹出的框框中选择卸载vc++，卸载成功后重新点开setup.exe安装，然后到楼上那一步选择NO，在弹出的框框中选择custom（弹出的框框有两个图标，要你选择安装模式，选第一个）下一步。安装成功...

注册表指哪个？

删除注册表中的HKY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM|ControlSet001\\Services\\VSS即可,记得重启。

我也出现了这样的问题,;
我是在虚拟机上安装VC6英文版本的 ,
setup.exe 点击NEXT后 安装程序直接退出, 无任何反应,
点击安装目录下的ACMBOOT 后和2搂提示一样的 ,
在google上搜索N多无果后, 没事就点开了安装目录下的INSTALL文件, 看见下面这段话 ,

When installing Visual Studio 6.0 or the Visual J++ Technology Preview 2, if you get a dialog box asking you to insert the Web Publishing Wizard disc, close the dialog box and proceed with the installation.
Neither Visual Studio nor Visual J++ ships a Web Publishing Wizard on a separate disc. Users may get this message when they are installing Visual Studio or Visual J++ on computers that have Temp directories set to removable drives, such as an Iomega Jaz drive.
After your Visual Studio or Visual J++ installation is complete, if you want to install the Web Publishing Wizard, do the following:
Set your Temp environment variable to a directory on fixed media, such as your hard drive.
Run wpie15.exe from [CD Drive:] \setup of the compact disc.
After Web Publishing Wizard setup is complete, reset your Temp environment variable directory to its previous directory, if necessary.

瞎猫碰老鼠 , 点击 setup目录下的 wpie15.exe ..
然后再次点击 setp.exe 安装 , VC6安装OK .. 呵呵 . ~
你可以试试..
我的环境是 debian + virtualbox , 在virtualbox里面装的2K , 因为需要调试WIN程序.. 然后在2K里面安装的VC6

我是运行的就是setup，先是安装程序正在搜索已安装的组件，后来就跳出一个对话框说是：A previous installation of Visual SourceSafe was detected at: D:\Program Files\Microsoft visual C++ 6.0\VC6CN\VSS\ Select YES to replace it with VSS 6.0 or NO to install VSS 6.0 to its default location.可是不关点YES还是NO都会 跳出上面那个错误。痛苦啊！！
